I have acquired in time a number of items that I no longer need, most likely because I have others of the same type. From time to time it is necessary to give away some to make space for newer ones! This is my current list of calculators that I no longer need.

These are not junk (unless specifically described). All of them work well, again, with the exception of defects (if any) mentioned for each individually. Some might have been repaired, worn parts exchanged, old batteries replaced. If I am aware of a defect, I always describe it; certainly any defect clearly visible will be described. If it is not described, it means I am not aware of the defect. If you want more information, ask.

This page is dedicated exclusively to TI items. For more HP and other brands of calculators please see Items for sale – vintagecalc.

TI-59 Calculator with Master Library module $40. The calculator works well, passes self test (from the module). The module self test also passes. There is no corrosion and both battery contacts are in good order. A battery is not included, an AC adapter is also not included. Please note this calculator will not work with the original AC adapter without a battery, but will work with an adapter that gives out +5VDC; I have seen (but I never made one myself) cables manufactured for connection to USB sources.

TI-59 Magnetic Cards $1. Many available. All cards are new, never used (therefore untested) but previous experience with such cards shows that they work well. I have not found a defective one yet (which can not be recorded properly on a working TI-59). Please note these cards are NOT the same as the TI-52 cards, those are slightly different size.

Texas Instruments SR-51a refurbished with battery, case and AC adapter (EU style) $30. The battery holds a charge but it is quite old it may need to be changed; it is a standard 3.6V NiCd phone battery. The battery is not soldered so the change is trivial.
The SR-51a was the top of the line at that moment for non-programmable calculators. It had every function one might desire, and then some.

SR-50 Calculator with Soft Case (working) $15. A battery is not included, an AC adapter is also not included. Please note this calculator will not work with the original AC adapter without a battery, but will work with an adapter that gives out +5VDC; I have seen (but I never made one myself) cables manufactured for connection to USB sources.

SR-56 Calculator with books (working) $30. Included are “Owner’s Manual” and “Applications Library” volumes. A soft case (not original, not shown) is also included; it protects the calculator. A battery is not included, an AC adapter is also not included. Please note this calculator will not work with the original AC adapter without a battery, but will work with an adapter that gives out +5VDC; I have seen (but I never made one myself) cables manufactured for connection to USB sources. Also, this calculator should work in a PC-100a printer; only the “a” model, the more frequent PC-100C only works for TI-58 and 59.

Texas Instruments SR-51 in box $120. Pristine. Tested with a lab power supply connected to the battery terminals. Also, this calculator should work in a PC-100a printer; only the “a” model, the more frequent PC-100C only works for TI-58 and 59.
