The HP-46 has the same functionality as the HP-45 with the addition of an impact printer. A very LOUD impact printer, I might say. However the printer uses a standard ribbon and still works flawlessly after almost 50 years, which is a remarkable feat for a mechanical device. Think how many cars are still running after 50 years without maintenance and upkeep?
This particular calculator comes in its original hard case and was sold for $295 in its day, the equivalent of $1660 today (2021).
